Psychopath 1
(18/10/1970)

Rude, arrogant, tall,
Dirty, noisy, childish,
Irresponsible, liar, cheat,
Cadger, critic, useless.
An unapproachable, ungrateful young man altogether.

Tonight I gave him a lift down to the beach
To save him walking perchance the rain resumed.

But it really was an exciting night!
The heavens were a blackness emphasised by the moon,
Which was near full,
And sailed by torn clouds whipped by the wind,
Like the waves were. Noisy, crashing on the shingle.
A night for lovers to excuse themselves cuddling.
A wild, exciting night.

I gave him a lift in my car to the beach
To save him walking
To where
He would try and find a place to sleep
On the beach.

I mentioned I'd joined up with the Aberdeen Samaritans (where I met Moira and Ernie Duff). I also met a difficult young man who was said to be psychopathic. We listened to him a lot and tried to provide some support, but it was plainly beyond me. It's a shame I couldn't continue with this type of activity because the sort of social problems involved are something I still do not understand.
