30th June 2008: The latest edition of the 'Manchester Genealogist', the Journal of The Manchester & Lancashire Family History Society, has recently awarded the 'Earwaker Prize' for 2008. My article 'Joseph Dunkerley in the Militia' was 'highly commended'. Flippin' 'eck!

15th June 2008: "Thank you so much for all of the work you have done. I have been able to use the information from your web site in finding the records on microfilm for christenings, marriages and deaths. I have never been involved in original research as you have done but have tried to verify the records so that I could prove the information that I had received from other family members. So many times, all they have is dates and places without any source material. As far as I know they heard it from 'Aunt Tilley' who heard it from 'Uncle Robert'."

There is an abundance of information, all soundly backed up by evidence and explanation, is very easy to read and a great credit to you!"
