Don't say "Take care my love"
When I leave you to drive home.
I can't be caught by caring.
I owe nothing to others,
I move about the world alone
And am free.
If I choose to spend time with you
That's a thing of the moment
And nothing when I leave.
So don't say "Take care my love"
Don't say it.
Here I'm plainly in denial! This is clearly like 10cc's "I'm not in love". At this point my work was about to take me away from the UK for the first time. I was off to the United States of America to work for US Borax!
